Christmas card Collection - This is our final appeal to you for Christmas Cards for inmates being served by our prison chaplains at correctional facilities, work campus and jails. The cards you purchase must be religious in nature - no Santas, no foil wrapping can be included in either the card or the envelope.

 

 
 
 
Christian Education - Our Fall Sessions have begun in earnest. Just a reminder that breakfastis served promptly at 8:30 a.m. with classes beginning around 9:00 a.m. We want to encourage all to share in this ministry that affords us the opportunity to learn some more of our faith. There is also the Couples class with its own speacial offering. See you there.

Baptism - All candidates for baptism, please call the parish office, 354-1053. Holy Baptism is especially appropriate at Easter Vigil, Day of Pentecost, All Saint's Day, and the Feast of the Baptism of our Lord(the first Sunday after Epiphany). The Reverend Canon Nelson Pinder is available.

Prayer Service - Mondays at 6:30 p.m. Join the Faithful who gather each week.
Bible Study - Every Tuesday beginning at 6:00 p.m. The group will gather in the Parish hall.
Outreach Ministry -The Sanctuary Guild's outreach ministry is in dire need of your support. This Ministry to the homeless, now serves at least 35 persons each week. We therefore, encourage you to make special donation this week.
Safeguarding God's People - Our christian Education Department will host the Safeguarding God's People Program intended for Clergy, Ushers, Eucharistic Ministers, Vestries and all paid employees on Saturday, December 12, 2009 at 9:30 a.m. in the parish auditorium. Those attending can register with Dr. Morrison or the parish secretary, Barbara Lee.
Do pray for - Vanecia Swindle who is again hospitalized at Baptist Hospital. Remember also Eulalie Malone and Mackenzie Munroe as they both recover from their recent illnesses as well as Metro Griffith who did undergo minor surgery recently.
Celebrating the Season - Each Advent, our vestments and hangings in church are always purple. Wedo this to remind ourselves that it is advent - the little Lent - ought to be observed with some level of sobriety. So our flowers disappear for instance. However the joy of Advent is truly experienced in the Advent hymns. We can not complete this celebration without the lighting of the candles on the Advent Wreath and the accompanying selection of prayers. Let me encourage you to takefull advantage of all the church offers at this time as we prepare our souls to meet him!
