Celebrating
the Season - Each Advent, our vestments
and hangings in church are always purple. Wedo
this to remind ourselves that it is advent - the
little Lent - ought to be observed with some level
of sobriety. So our flowers disappear for instance.
However the joy of Advent is truly experienced
in the Advent hymns. We can not complete this
celebration without the lighting of the candles
on the Advent Wreath and the accompanying selection
of prayers. Let me encourage you to takefull advantage
of all the church offers at this time as we prepare
our souls to meet him! |
